Angels name Hunter Strickland for the assignment

The Angels announced that they have appointed skilled right-handed rescuers Hunter Strickland for commissioning. Righty called back in a corresponding train James Hoyt.

Strickland has only been with the Angels for a few weeks as the team bought him from the Rays for financial reasons or a player to be named later May 15, and a 9.1 percent run rate in 16 innings, but him was unable to continue this effectiveness as an angel. The 32-year-old now has a 4.03 ERA with a 20 percent strikeout rate versus a 10 percent walk rate through 22 1/3 frames.

The Angels could find a buyer in a dealership for Strickland who has had a solid career despite recent fighting. Given that Strickland has been open-minded and has had enough tenure in the past, he may opt to try the free agency if he doesn’t want to join Angels’ triple-A partner.
